Jammu | May 31
Former minister and state chief NCP Randhir Singh has regretted the role of some ‘forces’ who, according to him are bent upon to malign the image of municipal commissioner Jeet Lal Gupta for petty gains.
He said the people of Jammu city expected from their corporators and the municipal corporation better civic facilities, but during the last four years of its existence there is still a shortage of water, bad drainage system, shortage of electricity, bad transport system and neglect of the employees of the corporation.
Singh regretted that the Govt has not granted state subject status to the corporation employees who were brought by late Bakshi Ghulam Mohd.from Punjab for the cleanliness of the city. He appealed to the corporators to fight for the cause of employees of corporation who have been neglected from time to time.
