| HC directed State to consider the representation | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 1 Justice YP Nargotra of J&K High Court Jammu Wing in a petition challenging the selection of three sub-inspectors who have been appointed along with other 259 Sub-Inspectors, has issued notice to State of J&K through Principal Secretary Home, DGP, DIG Jammu Range and 3 selected sub-inspectors and in the meanwhile directed that respondents shall be free to accord consideration to the representation of the petitioner. The petitioner Ajay Kumar filed this petition through Adv Abhinav Sharma in which he challenged the appointment of 3 private respondents on the ground that the petitioner had secured 49 marks in the selection process whereas the 3 private respondents secured less marks than the petitioner which are 45, 43 and 41. It was submitted in the petition that after the judgment of the Supreme Court dated February 10, 2004, the respondent on May 19, 2004 issued the select list redrawn in pursuance to the directions issued by the Division Bench of this Court. The petitioner seeking quashment of the appointment of 3 private respondents which according to the petitioner is arbitrary and illegal on a policy of pick and choose by the respondents and seeking direction to the respondents to consider and consequently appoint the petitioner as Sub-Inspector Executive J&K Police.
