The third edition of the Distict Taekwondo Championship, organized by Kargil Taekwondo Association under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) began today at Indoor Stadium, here.
The championship, wherein 150 players from different schools and clubs of the district are taking part, was declared open by NIS coach and technical director of JKTA, Atul Pangotra. Chief coach of Kargil Taekwondo Association, Nissar Hussain Balkhani was guest of honour.
The two-day championship is being organized by senior players, Zaheer Abass Khan, Inayat Ali, Mohd Ali, Sadiq Ali, Mohd Ali Bagee.

GIRLS: Below 18 kg: Isharat Fatima, Ist and Asma Gul, 2nd. Below 24 kg: Shabnam Batool, Ist and Asiya Batool, 2nd. Below 29 kg: Shiva Matvalli, Ist and Ambreen Fatima, 2nd and Nargi Banoo, third. Below 38 kg: Shahnaz Parveen, Ist; Shahar Banoo, 2nd and Zarina Banoo, third. Below 44 kg: Nahida Banoo, Ist; Tabassum Fatima, 2nd and Salezes Angmo, third. Open category: Shazia Batool, Ist and Naziya Nazir, 2nd. |
