Army claimed to have recovered a cache in general area Thanamandi in Rajouri district, today.
Defence spokesman Lt Col SD Goswami said that on specific information, troops of 156 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (H&H) (PUNJAB), under the aegis of Romeo Force launched search operation in general area Thanamandi in Rajouri district and recovered huge cache from a militant hide-out.
The recovered cache comprises of one Pistol, two Chinese Hand grenades, 72 rounds of PIKA ammunition, 120 rounds of AK ammunition and other miscellaneous stores.
In another incident, troops of 61 Rashtriya Rifles (JAT), under the aegis of 15 Sector RR, Uniform Force recovered cache in general area Gul in Reasi district, today.
The recovered cache comprises of three grenades, 19 rounds of PIKA ammunition and other miscellaneous stores. |
