| Lal Singh distributes ration, blankets | | | Early Times Reporter

Member Parliament Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency Ch. Lal Singh today distributed ration and blankets to the poor people whose houses were burnt to ashes in the recent fire and to the families of victims of bus accident that took place at Doda.
Later, at a meeting called by him to review various development works in his constituency Mr. Singh said that people should take maximum benefit from various government schemes such as NREGA, old age pension scheme etc formulated for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society. He said that several development works are in the execution within the district. Survey for laying of railway line from Lakhanpur to Kishtwar via Sarthal has been conducted and submitted to Govt. of India for approval. Multipurpose hydropower project at Panjtheerthi, Billawar which survey was conducted in 1927 has again been revived with construction work likely to start soon fulfilling the long pending demand of the masses.
