In a bid to thwart any eventuality, a Village Defense Committee for Songwali Temple was constituted in presence of the additional district magistrate.
Out of six members of committee identified as Jaswant Singh s/o Gurdeep Singh, Aman Singh, s/o Hajorka Singh, Uttam Chand, s/o Shankar Dass, Sanjiv Kumar, s/o Kuldeep Singh, Surjeet Singh, s/o Joginder Singh, and Susheel Singh s/o Jeet Singh all residents of Songwali Mandi samba, four have been provided ammunition as per directions of the police. Members pledged to perform their duties without any fear and with dedication. |
