| 1100 kg lahan destroyed, 234 illicit liquor bottles seized | | | Early Times Reporter

Excise department on a tip off laid trap and arrested a drug peddler, besides recovered two hundred and thirty four bottles of illicit liquor from his possession. Excise department developed information that a drug peddler was active in the area and accordingly an excise team led by inspector Sanjeev Khajuria on the direction of excise commissioner Abdul Hameed and DC executive Jammu Shabir Bhat laid trap and arrested him. He has been identified as Som Raj S/o Karan Chand r/o Kangrayal, Kathua. On his revelations team conducted raid on estate land and recovered eleven hundred kg lahan buried there. Later the lahan was destroyed. A case under Excise Act 48 has been registered against him. |
