| Central varsity should be set up soon: PDP | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 3 The People's Democratic Party (PDP), a partner in Congress-led coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir today asked the authorities to make efforts for early establishment of the central university proposed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the state. "The establishment of central university in the state as announced by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is a welcome step, now measures should be taken to establish the varsity in the valley early," PDP said in a statement here.
The proposed Reliance Institute of Information Technology should also be set up soon as it will benefit the state to meet the technological challenges in the present scenario the statement said. It said establishment of twin institutions, Reliance Institute and the Central University in the valley would be very beneficial for the younger generation in the state and the government should take appropriate measures to this effect. |
