| JURSEA stages protest against shrine board | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 3 Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA) under the leadership of its president Vikas Sharma today held a protest demonstration in campus against the decision of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to impose fee on the pilgrims. Vikas Sharma while addressing protesters said that the whole Hindu community was shocked over the decision of Shrine Board to charge extra money for Darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi. He said that Board’s decision of fixing different rates ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 1000 per head to perform Puja and Darshan was a move aimed at converting the holy place into an industry. He made it clear that Hindu Samaj will not tolerate it and oppose the decision tooth and nail. The shrine board decision will only benefit the rich people leaving poorer with the adversities, said JURSEA president He urged the concerning nodal authority to change its decision at the earliest. He warned the shrine board if the decision will not revoked immediately, JURSEA will launch the agitation against the board. Among others who were participated in a protest included Kamaldeep Singh, Rakesh Chib, Harbajan Singh, Munish, Vikram, Vijay, rajesh, Suresh, Sandeep Duby and others. |
