| Youth PDP to educate masses on party’s programmes | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 3 Youth wing of the Peoples' Democratic Party today decided to launch an aggressive campaign to educate the younger generation about the steps being taken by the PDP for the socio-economic development and empowerment of the youth. A meeting of the youth wing of PDP was held today under the leadership of Rajesh Bhat, vice president in which all senior leaders were present. Meeting decided to enroll more and more youth in PDP to further spread message of the party. Sohit Sharma, Rajinder Manhas, Baldev Singh Pappa, Sartaj Singh Ladda, Ramnek Singh, Deepu Chib, Jagjit Singh Jaggi, Varinder Singh, Dr Surinder Kumar Mohinder Singh and other senior leaders of the youth wing attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Bhat said that PDP is the only party which has devised a strategy to carve out greater place for youth in the decision making bodies. He specially mentioned Youth Development Policy being formulated by the PDP which aimed at over all development of the younger generation. He said that it is for the first time that a political party has made a youth policy, addressing the issues concerning the youth and it is duty of the party workers to educate the younger about this policy. Addressing the meeting, Sohit Sharma, general secretary of the youth wing said that it is all due to the visionary leadership of party that such a policy has been framed. He said that this policy would provide opportunities to the youth to be active partner in the decision making process. He said that except PDP all political parties are ignoring concerns of youth. Rajinder Manhas, secretary of the youth wing called upon party workers to make forthcoming programmes of the party successful. He informed that one day convention of the party would be held on June 4 followed by youth conventions on June 15 and June 22. He called upon the youth to spread message of the party among all sections of the society. |
