Security forces on Tuesday busted two militant hideouts at separate places in Jammu region and recovered arms and ammunition.
Army sources told that acting on specific information troops of 156 Infantry battalion busted a hideout in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district during a search operation launched on receiving specific information. The recovered cache included one pistol, two Chinese hand grenades, 72 rounds of pika rifle, 120 rounds of AK rifle and other war-like stores,
In a similar operation, troops of the 61 Rastriya Rifles (RR) busted a hideout in Gool area of Reasi district today and recovered 3 grenades, 19 rounds of pika ammunition and other stores, he said adding that no one was arrested in connection with the case. |
