| Committees for selection against Class IV vacancies | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 3 Government has constituted committees to effect the selection against the available Class-IV posts at District, Divisional and Secretariat levels. The District Selection Committee would be headed by the concerned District Officer as Chairman. Other members will be one officer to be nominated by head of the concerned department, two gazetted officers belonging to the two different reserved categories, to be nominated by Deputy Commissioner concerned, one other district officer to be nominated by Deputy Commissioner concerned. The Divisional Level Committee will be headed by concerned Head of Department as Chairman. Its other members will be one officer not less than the rank of Under Secretary, to be nominated by Administrative Department, two gazetted officers belonging the two different reserved categories, to be nominated by concerned Divisional Commissioners and one other officer to be nominated by the concerned Divisional Commissioner. Divisional Level Committee shall also make selections in respect of State Cadre Class-IV posts if any in the concerned departments as referred to them. The third Committee to make the selection against Class-IV posts available in the Secretariat will constitute Special Secretary to Government, General Administration Department as Convener, three officers not below the rank of Deputy Secretaries, two of which shall belong to different reserved categories, and to be nominated by General Administration Department on rotational basis as the members of the Committees while as Staff Welfare Officer General Administration Department will be Member-Secretary of the Committee. The order issued by General Administration Department to this regard, says that all vacant Class-IV posts shall be referred to the concerned Committees except the posts of SRO 43 cases and posts referred to Deputy Commissioners and Divisional Commissioners for direct recruitment. |
