| Organizations extend support to FONL | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | June 3
To announce extending their support to the occupants of the Nazool, government land holders (FONL) in their agitation, various organizations held a joint meeting here today.
The meet was attended by President, Jammu State Morcha, Varinder Gupta, President, Duggar Pradesh Party, Uday Chand and President, Dogra Liberation Front, Ram Pal Sharma.
While pledging their support to the demands of the FONL against the exorbitant rates fixed by the government under the Roshni Act, the leaders of the various parties assured their full support.
Speaking on the occasion, President, FONL, Inderjeet Khajuria said that the government had assured the lease holders and allotees of the government lands that they would not be covered under the Roshni Act but now the government is unnecessarily harassing the land holders under the Act.
He added that a deputation comprising the leaders of various parties had also met with the various state ministers regarding their demands but nothing concrete has been done in their favor.
The leaders also urged upon the authorities to address the grievances of the government land holders.
Among others who participated in the meet were Iqbal Khullar, Somnath Sharma, ML Sharma and Ajay Bakshi. |
