Danger of clashes between two communities loomed large in Supwal area when there was an impasse over claim of a body. Rupinder Koul W/o Kulvinder Singh R/o Chak Ramchand, Samba consumed poison and was rushed to GMC hospital where she died. Today parents of Rapinder from Gurdaspur along with brethren reached in laws of deceased.Satpal Singh father of the deceased alleged that Rupinder was harassed by her in laws demanding dowry. The in laws of the deceased threatened to block the road if the body was taken.
The matter was pacified only when Rajeshwar Singh, incharge police post Supwal and SDPO Ram Singh Samba intervened. Later the last rites of Rupinder Kour were soleminised in Supwal, cremation ground. |
