| Third Front will take some tome to be reality | | | Early Times Reporter

The launching of the third front in Jammu and Kashmir has been put off by few more months. According to political grapevine the third front will not see the light of the day till election schedule was made public.
A senior leader who is working hard behind the formation of the third front said here today, “the formation of the third front in Jammu and Kashmir has been kept in abeyance till the the poll schedule for the Assembly election was annouced by the election
commission”
Meanwhile,Chief of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Party,Ghulam Hassan Mir,MLA said "we have no intentions on exposing our cards before the announcement of the poll schedule." In reply to a question he said there is no need for "us" to announce the formation of the third front because "we are in the process of seeking support for
the front from various polit ical groups and political leaders."Asked whether the CPM
leader,M.Y.Tarigami,Transport Minister,Hakim Mohd.Yasin,Ghulam Mohiuddin Sofi,a former Minister,and Usman Majid,MLA continued to support the exercise on
the formation of the third front Mir said "yes they are with me."
Inside reports,however,revealed that several political leaders,who had assured support to Mir,were watching the political permutation and combination which are likely to take place once the poll schedule was announced.Mir himself seems to be waiting for all
those who defect from mainstream political parties,including the Congress,the PDP and the National Conference,to cross over to his side once they were denied party mandate for contesting the ensuing election. It under this hope that Mir intends to make the annoucement on the formation of the third front with a bang.At present the Congress,the PDP and the National Conference were trying to woo those who had formed the Peoples'Democratic Forum and the Front.In case these parties were able to hook some of
the big fish in the forum and the front Ghulam Hassan Mir may not be in a position to form the third front despite his assertion that the third Front"has to take birth". |
