Migrants’ committee holds rally

Today a massive public rally of Kashmiri migrants was organized at Purkhoo Camp, here under the leadership of Raj Nath Dhar. The migrants from all various camps including Mishriwalla, Nagrota, Muthi and Railway participated.
As per a release, Moti Koul in his speech welcomed the prime minister’s efforts for the rehabilitation of the displaced community but at the same time said that the return of Pandits cannot be linked with the economic package.
He said that the real basis of rehabilitation is existence of a strong, stable democratic political and administrative foundation where rule of law has to prevail under all circumstances. He stressed for positive and constructive approach for the strong and stable foundation of a society. He appealed all the K.P leaders and organization to show a united response to the Prime Minister’s rehabilitation plan.
He further said that Kashmir is a testing ground for Indian secularism and democracy and the coming state elections are the litmus test for it. He said that the Kashmir problem cannot find a durable solution unless Pandits are rehabilitated in their native place. Earlier the rally was addressed by Raj Nath President of AMCCC. He said that the community is on the cross roads this time, though being the intellectual community we are direction less. He appealed the honest and committed leaders of the community Pt. Moti Koul to come forward and lead the community.
