Kanwal Sports Club Srinagar, while preserving their unbeaten record, beat IPC Bhopal by 3 wickets in the last over of the final match, to take the Rani Devi Memorial twenty20 cup to home, at Digvijay Stadium Nagpur on the other day.
Majid Dar and Hardeep Singh came up with heroic efforts to help Kanwal Sports Club score a last over victory against a strong side of IPC Bhopal, with one delivery to spare.
Kanwal boys broke into an impromptu dance and took a victory lap with the golden plated cup. A fireworks display added to the excitement, when captain Parvaiz Zaroo received the 50,000 rupees winners' cheque.
Chasing an imposing 156 runs to win Rani Devi Memorial twenty20 cup, Kanwal Sports Club reached the required total in the last over of their innings. Man of the final Majid Dar played a gem of an innings. |
