The Jammu and Kashmir High Court, has announced summer vacations beginning June 9.
According to a communiqué, summer vacations in the State High Court will be from June 9 to 28 and in the Subordinate Courts of Summer Zone from June 9 to 23.
The High Court issued notification regarding nomination of the Vacation Judges, Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir and Justice Sunil Hali shall hold Courts during the Vacation from June 9 to 28 whereas June 9 to 13 is no work period.
The notification said that Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir will hold the Courts at Srinagar Wing from June 23, 2008 to June 27, 2008 whereas Justice Sunil Hali will hold the Court from June 16, 2008 to June 20, 2008. In Jammu wing Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir will hold the Courts on June 16, 2008 to June 20, 2008 and Justice Sunil Hali from June 23, 2008 to June 27, 2008.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the working of Registry will remain function during the vacation period. Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Mr. JR Kotwal has deputed two Sessions Judges 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mr. Puneet Gupta from June 9, 2008 to June 15, 2008 and 3rd Additional Sessions Judge from June 16, 2008 to June 23, 2008 to deal with emergent matter of Sessions level in the Sessions Division Jammu during the Summer Vacation.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu Mr. YP Bourney nominated Duty Magistrates during the Summer Vacation dealing with emergent criminal cases of Jammu District. Sub-Registrar from June 9, 2008 to June 13, 2008, 3rd Additional Munsiff Jammu June 14, 2008 to June 18, 2008 and Forest Magistrate Jammu from June 19, 2008 to June 23, 2008 shall be the Duty Magistrates. |
