Close to the heals is hardliner separatist Syed Sli Shah Geelani calling for right to ‘self determination’ in Punjab, the sleuths of Jammu and Kashmir Police have captured four militants belonging to the separatist militant outfit of Khalistan Zindabad Force.
An official spokesman said that the Police achieved a major success when they apprehended three terrorists at Doomi under the jurisdiction of PS Kanachak early this morning.
Reports said that after developing an information regarding the movement of dreaded terrorists from Punjab , the police acting swiftly headed by SDPO Akhnoor Atul Sharma and laid an ambush with the association of Army at Doomi.
The terrorists who were traveling in a car bearing registration number CHO3E-0674 was intercepted by the ambush party and apprehended them along with arms and ammunitions.
They have been identified as Malkeet Singh son of Joginder Singh, a resident of Barnala; Harbans Singh son of Harnek Singh and a resident of Jagjit Pura Barnala and Surjit Singh son of Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Cheema Barnala. All were aged in their mid 30s. Sophisticated arms and ammunitions were recovered from their possession, said the Police. The recovered arms and ammunition includes one AK 47 Rifle with two magazines and 150 rounds, five Chinese Pistols with five magazines and 93 rounds.
Police said that a case FIR No. 76/08 U/S 120-B,121/121-B, 122 RPC and 7/25 Arms Act stands registered at PS Kanachak. These apprehended terrorists are being put to sustained questioning to know about their other associates and activities.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation, the Doda police achieved a big success when they apprehended one recruit militant of LeT outfit from a village Shadiwan under the jurisdiction of PS Doda.
Reports said that, on a tip off Doda police launched a special operation and raids at various places and finally they succeeded to apprehended one militant of LeT outfit identified as Shabir Ahmed Mallah son of Ghulam Mohammad Mallah, a resident of Chillivan.
The said militant had joined Let outfit on the motivation of LeT District Commander Mohammad Iqbal who is active in Gundna and Bharat areas () The said Commander had assigned him the task of killing the prominent and selective Hindus in the area by way of chopping off their heads etc .
One mobile phone and huge quantity of incriminating material has been recovered from his possession. With his timely arrest, a major militant strike has been averted. It is pertinent to mention here that brother of the said apprehended militant namely Mohd Shafi was earlier apprehended by Jammu Police in connection with transaction of Hawala Money about two years back. The apprehended militant is being to put sustained interrogation and some more arrests are likely to take place. |
