Jammu Traffic Police make commuters aware about new rules

JAMMU, Sept 12: Traffic Police Jammu today organized series of awareness events to make commuters and motorists aware about the amended M V Act /Rules, 2019.
The awareness events were held at 10 different Traffic intersections/ Chowks viz. Dogra Chowk, Amphalla Chowk, High Court turning, Maheshpora Chowk, Residency, Kachi Chawani, Bikram Chowk, Narwal Chowk, Satwari Chowk, Main Stop Gandhi Nagar in City South/North Jammu with active co-ordination of NCC cadets, locals, Police as well as media persons (print/ Electronic).
During the campaign, the road users/motorists were briefed to follow traffic rules strictly. They were given pamphlets containing awareness material.
During this awareness campaign Traffic Police involved the services of drum beating to make it more interesting among the public.
The general public was advised not to allow their teen aged children to drive on the roads. The aim of the awareness campaign was to give a wide publicity and spread awareness about the rules and regulations of newly Amended M.V.Act,2019 among the motorists so that discipline is maintained on the roads in greater public interest.
