| Huge arms cache recovered in Nowshera operation | | | Early Times Reporter Nowshera | June 5 One attacker has been arrested in an injured state during police operation against local Taliban in Nowshehra. The police later in a search operation recovered large number of arms and ammunitions from in Badrashai village. According to reports, a police patrol on main GT Road in Nowshera Cantt signaled a van coming from Peshawar for routine checking. The driver of the van sped towards Badrashai village. Some armed men were sitting in the van, who started firing on police and injured one constable Habib. The police in retaliation fired back and arrested one injured militant. A schoolteacher also received injures in the crossfire. The militants entered in a house in the village and later escaped along with other militants already present there.The police searched the house and recovered a large number of sophisticated arms ammunitions.Officials disclosed one of the militants as Hussain Amin, a resident of Danish Abad in Peshawar.Three persons including a policeman sustained injuries in the exchange of fire. |
