| Judicial probe in ‘bungling’ in JU sought | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 5 Sangarsh, an NGO today sought judicial probe into alleged financial bungling misappropriation of funds in Jammu University. Addressing media persons, here today Ranjeet Sharma, a research scholar and member of the NGO alleged defunct nature and functioning of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) saying that there is no whereabouts of the amount of money being collected by the IQAC from more than 70 thousand students enrolled with the university including degree colleges, private B Ed colleges and D.D.E. students. Former Secretary Students Cultural Council JU, Vikrant Sharma said that the practice of raising money from the B Ed Colleges has propagated a sense of corruption. In these colleges there is lack of infrastructure and they pay huge sums of money for continuous affiliation. He further stated that insisted that instead of becoming temples of learning, B.Ed colleges are becoming commercial organizations, thus playing with carrier of students who are going to become teachers. |
