Citizen's phone call saves minor boy from kidnapping

Police today claimed to have saved a minor boy from a kidnapper through "Dial 100 network" installed at Police Control Room and the flying squads working under this network.
Reports maintained that a boy of Nowpora area identified as Omar Zahoor, 15, son of Zahoor Ahmad Bhat was forced to board into an auto rickshaw near Government High School Nowpora.
Reports further maintained that an alert citizen dialed to phone number 100 and informed police about the incident. "Immediately flying squad Number 12 was alerted by from the Police Control Room Srinagar. The flying squad chased the auto. This chase by police forced the auto rickshaw borne kidnapper to throw the boy out," added the reports.
However, the boy got minor injuries and was hospitalized in the nearest hospital. The boy was, later, handed over to parents.
Police claimed that it was for the second time when a person has been saved with the help of "Dial 100 Network", earlier a girl from Hyderpora side was saved with the help of this system.
