A garment shop was gutted in fire here at City Chowk today. Paragon, a garment shop was gutted when some sparks from electric wires fell on the dresses on sale. Dresses, worth Rs One lakh were burnt to ashes. The incident occurred during morning hours. Fire fighters reached on the spot and extinguished the fire. Ramesh Gandotra owner of the garment shop lamented over the electric meter said that new electric metres installed by the government have some problems. He alleged electric sparks emerged from the meter causing huge loss to him. |
