| JSM (P) condemns creation of provincial assemblies | | |

President, Jammu state Morchan (JSM) Progressive Prof. Virender Gupta and general secretary Digvijay Singh have reacted against the proposal of Panthers Party for creation of provincial assemblies in J&K.
As per a party handout, both the leaders have said that the proposal is misleading and confusing. They said provincial assemblies have to work under the state assembly and their work shall remain confined to limited areas and will be a mere eyewash. By moving this proposal the Panthers Party is back tracking from its earlier agenda of separate and complete statehood for Jammu and Kashmir provinces.
The things like provincial assemblies and regional autonomy do not provide any solution to the Jammu problem as the proposal would not end the Kashmiri domination and the danger to its geographical and cultural identity shall continue to threaten the Jammuties even in the provincial assembly.
Separate state for Jammu region with all financial administrative and legislative powers is the only solution for the problems of Jammu region, JSM asserted.
