In view of the ensuing Sindhu festival, 2008 being held at Sindhu Ghat and Leh Polo Ground on 12th, 13th and 14th June, 2008 the deputy commissioner, Leh M.K. Bhandari today visited the Sindhu Ghat, Polo Ground and Indoor stadium and took stock of the arrangements being done by various committees already constituted.
As per a press release, Bhandari said the inaugural function in the morning and cultural programme in the evening shall be held at Sindhu Ghat on 12th of June, 2008.
He said polo match, cultural programme, yak and camel safari shall be held at Polo Ground on 13th June, 2008 and polo match, exhibition by various govt. offices and food stall be held at indoor stadium during the festival besides Thanaka exhibition in Chowkang Vihara by Diskit Gompa would also be part of the festival, the release added. |
