Rajneesh Gupta play 'Adalat Mein Gandhi' staged

Jammu, Sept 19: Play 'Adalat Mein Gandhi' written and directed by Rajneesh Gutpa was successfully presented at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu by Nav Durga Kala Manch with the support of NZCC, Patiala. Play throws light on the torn relations between Mahatma Gandhi and his eldest son, Hari Lal Gandhi and the pitiable condition of Kasturba Gandhi due to the differnces in the ideology of father and son. Mahatma Gandhi always preferred the nation above his family. He looked the whose nation as his family and always fought for the rights of the India with the instruments truth and non-violence but his opponents tried to persuade his eldest son, Hari Lal Gandhi to join them and speak against hsi father. For moment Harilal adopted other means of livelihood but it is a truth that from the core of his heart, he also liked the policies of his father.
The versatile performance in the said play were given by Pawan Verma and as Mahatma Gandhi, Meera Tapasvi as Kasturba Gandhi and Balwinder Lal Singh as Hari Lal Gandhi. The chemistry of the trio made the play a treat to the audience.
The soulful music was handled by Tarun Charak and makeup was of Dr. Kamal Sharma Aditional Commissioner of Income-tax, Sh. Satish Kumar Sharma, IRS was the chief guest on the occassion, who himself is a renouned name in the field of culture and literature and himself written a book of stage plays. He applauded the play by saing that future of Jammu in the field of culture is bright as with every new year new talents are taking birth with new ideas and new dimensions in acting skills.
