| Model Academy, Red Cross organizes blood donation camp | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | June 6
As part of motivation programme for voluntary donation of blood launched by Regional Red Cross society, Jammu. The team of MIER students headed by Poonam Soni donated blood at Blood Bank, SMGS Hospital. As per a release, the blood donors were addressed by Hony. Secretary, Regional Red Cross Society Anil K. Padha and Dr. T. R Raina, I/C Blood Ban. The blood donors were offered refreshment by the Hospital authorities as well as by the Red Cross and each donor was given Red Cross Lapel Pin. The College teachers also offered their voluntary services for Red Cross activities. Over all 13 volunteers including two teachers donated blood.
In another welfare activity Regional Red Cross Society Jammu today distributed relief material to slum dwellers at Kalka Colony, Bahu Fort, Jammu who are living in poor condition. The relief Material included bed sheets, Shawls and towels, the release added. |
