Srinagar, August 31 – About 5000 players in cricket, football, kabbadi, handball, volley ball, khokho and 1500 students in inter college debate, painting and group singing competitions are participating in 15 day Kamraz Summer festival-2006 presently going on in Government Degree College ground at Baramulla. As many as 164 teams and 50 schools are involved in these events.
Fifty-three matches have so far been played in various events besides painting competition, debate and group singing have also been organized. For conduct of these matches, the Sports Council has provided seating arrangements, goal posts and field facility. Circus event has also been included in these activities which started from yesterday. Rifle draw results would be announced on the concluding day.
