| Consumer awareness drive on safe computing ends | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 6 Confederation of Indian Industries, (CII J&K State Council) today concluded its week long consumer awareness drive on Safe Computing in the valley with a seminar for students in Government Degree College Baramulla. Deputy Director Employment, Govt of J&K Abdul Rashid Bhat while addressing over 250 students and faculty members thanked CII for organizing the seminar and for giving an insight to the much needed IT awareness amongst the students. He further said that IT also needs to be related to other fields like agriculture, tourism, handicrafts etc. He advised the children to look for jobs in the private sector rather than aiming only for Government Jobs. As per a release, During its week long campaign the CII sensitized about 800 senior students of DPS, Burn Hall and SP College, Srinagar. The highlight of the drive was the interactive sessions between the students and the CII faculty. The keenness to learn shown by all the students sensitized in the valley clearly brought out the potential amongst the students, who unfortunately have a limited exposure due to the internal situation in the valley. According to a CII spokesmen, the great response received from the students, faculty members, Government officials and the media is an indicator that the week long awareness session has more that achieved its aim. Such initiatives launched by outside agencies in the valley, apart from increasing the horizon of the students will also send the right signals across the country about the normalcy prevailing here, the release added. |
