Tax evaders held, penalty worth 3 lakh imposed

Trikuta Nagar police held tow persons on the charges of tax evading and recovered gold and silver Jewellery worth Rs five lakh, forty five thousand from their possession. Trikuta Nagar police led by SHO Subash Chander during naka checking near Panam chowk intercepted two persons identified as Fiaq Ahmed S/o Bali Mohd r/o Rainwari Srinagar,. Shafir Mohd Shiekh S/o Ghulam Mohd. Sheikh r/o Pulwama and recovered 366 gm gold and 5 kg and 405 gm silver Jewellery from them. On being questioned they told police that the Jewellery was artificial which they bought from Goa. Sensing foul smell SHO Trikuta Nagar summoned a gold smith who confirmed Jewellery made of ure gold and silvers. Sales Tax officers were also informed who imposed three lakh penality on them on the basis of bills.
