| Clerical staff’s strike paralysis dev. Works: Contractors | | | Early Times Reporter

The PWD (R&B) contractors association have condemned the lathi charge on the peaceful procession of employees war civil secretariat , Srinagar on Monday.
Gen. secretary Balwinder Singh while addressing the gathering showed full solidarity with the strike employees. He further said that clerical cadre is the backbone of all the state govts and instead of using brutalities against them they needs and deserves to be encouraged. They are not demanding anything which is unjust or beyond the competence of the government.
The other leaders while addressing said that as the strike of the clerical staff has entered 72nd day it has paralysed the entire development activities in the state due to non-availability of materials required for construction work.
The association further criticized the state govt. that on the one hand the govt. is introducing fast track development works program but on the other hand the govt. is not taking the effects of the ongoing strike of the clerical cadre seriously which has paralysed the whole of Adminstration.
Ravi Sharm, Ragubir Singh, Naridner Singh, Satya Pal Sharma, Subash Sharma Mandal, Inder Singh Sudan, Sharanjeet Singh Shunty, Vikram Singh, Bitti Singh and Prem Singh Jasrotia also present in the meeting. |
