| NC demands roll back of sales tax, VAT | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | June 6
National Conference (NC) has demanded to roll back Sales Tax and VAT from the petroleum products saying the huge burden that had been put on by the centre government on the consumers would get reduced to some extent.
According to senior vice-president NC, Rattan Lal Gupta, the government in order to mitigate the hardship of the people should roll back various taxes levied on the petroleum products as the prices of these commodities are already touching peaks.
He added that instead of reducing the prices of these commodities the government has again hiked the prices of these products.
He urged upon the government to remove various taxes levied on the petroleum products immediately. |
