Jammu | June 6
The Beopar Mandal, (BP) today held a protest demonstration against the UPA government against rising prices of petroleum products.
On the occasion the protestors led by President, BP, Sunil Dimple burnt the effigies of the UPA government and demand immediate resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil said that the UPA government is non-serious over the fate of common people of the country as the government has hiked the price of petrol, diesel and the cooking gas steeply.
He added that the common man is already struggling with the high inflation and by hiking the prices the government has pushed them further down. He urged upon the left parties to withdraw their support from the Congress government as it has failed to control the price hike.
Among others who participated in the protest was, Ashok Khanna, Ishar Dass, Randhir Bali, Sanjay Nagpal, Nagraj, Ashok Verma and Pawan Kumar.
