Prabhjyot Kour clinched the under-16 girls singles title beating Dipakshi in a close contest 2-1 in the ongoing Open Badminton Tournament organized by Super Sonic Badminton Club at Indoor Complex, M A Stadium, here today.
Winning first close set 21-18, Prabhjyot lost the following 16-21 to Dipakshi. However, she played a better game in the third set and won it 21-18.
In girls under-16 singles non-stadium category, Naveela Naz defeated Shivasni Misri again in a well contested final. The score: 21-17, 1921, 22-20.
Meanwhile, according to the secretary of the Club, Gurvinder Singh, the tournament will conclude tomorrow with the holding of prize distribution function at 6 pm. President Bar Association, B S Slathia has consented to be the chief guest, added Gurvinder.
