Misuse of AAY ration won’t be tolerated: Hakim
AAY ration to 32000 poor families of Kashmir sanctioned

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 31 – Government has accorded sanction for release of ration under AAY to 32000 families living below poverty line of Kashmir division.
This was announced by Minister Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Hakim Mohammad Yaseen while chairing a high level officers meeting here today.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Secretary CAPD department Mr. Khalid Habib and senior functionaries of the department.
The meeting also reviewed the stock and supply position of food grains and other essentials in the state. It was given out that supply position is satisfactory across the state and the needy people are regularly provided food grains from the PDS outlets functioning in the state.
Mr. Yaseen said that Deputy Commissioners and other authorities have been given instructions to provide rations under AAY to the deserving families only. He maintained that government would not allow misuse of the prescribed quota under AAY and any official found deviating from the instructions would be dealt with accordingly.
