Reasi District XI registered two wickets victory over Whites Cricket Club (WCC) to make it into the next round of Prof Pran Nath Malhotra Cricket Tournament underway at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Earlier, Reasi XI won the toss and opted to field. Batting first WCC bowled out for 157 runs in the last 40th over, which, in reply, Reasi XI chased the total in 29.5 overs for the loss of eight wickets.
Ravi Pandita was top scorer with 45 including five boundaries while Dheeraj Singh and Abhinav contributed 28 and 25 runs respectively. Bhanu claimed three wickets for 22 runs in eight overs while Nadeem and Surinder took two wickets each.
Batting second, Reasi District XI chased the target of 158 runs for the loss of eight wickets sparing 10.1 overs of their innings. Sanjay Sharma made 18-ball 22 runs while Sanjay Singh and Sunny added 26 and 10 runs respectively. From WCC, Rohit Pandita was most successful bowler with three for 40 runs in 7.4 overs. Rajesh and Rakesh took two and one wicket respectively.
Today’s match was officiated by Brij Mohan Sharma and B K Tikoo while Sant Singh was observer. B B Verma and Raghav Verma were scorers. |
