Soz announces Rs.7 cr for various Panzu, Mangam works

The union Minister for Water Resources and J&K State Congress President, Saif-ud-Din soz has said that peace process is necessary for the socio-economic development and strengthening of Democratic Institutions so that common people can be involved in the developmental process.
soz was addressing public rallies at Panzu and Mangam areas of Handwara teshil, he said during the last 2 decades the people of the state have suffered a lot due to turmoil which has hampered the developmental process in the state .He said under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi the peace process has started and has for achieved great success in bringing normalcy in the state. The state is progressing in every field due to the liberal funding of the Central Government and major developmental projects have been launched for the socio economic development, he added. He said that the coalition Government under the chairmanship of Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad the state has progressed in every field and the developmental activities will get boost in future also.
Soz said that peace talks between the India and Pakistan are heading in right direction and all the outstanding issues will be resolved in near future. He mentioned the recent talks with newly formed Pakistan Government and said that the process will continue and the two countries are looking forward for opening of more routes for cementing trade and cultural ties. He said that state Government under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has launched massive socio economic development schemes for the improvement in communication, health, education, PHE and power sectors and for the overall development of the state particularly in far-flung areas like Kupwara district.
Soz announced Rs. 6.29 crores for the improvement of irrigation facilities in the area. He also sanctioned Rs. 57 lacs for the construction of water storage plant at Panzu. He also released Rs. 5 lacs for the renovation and up gradations of Panzu High School. He also announced Rs. 39 lacs for the construction of water reservoir at Macher Mangam. He said that he would take up the filling of the vacant posts in health and education department with concerned quarters.

Minister for Industries and Commerce Mr. Nawang Ragzin Jora also spoke on the occasion highlighted the achievements made by the coalition government in the over all development of the state. He also announced setting up of KVIB Centre in the area for which he sought the corporation of local people for providing land for the purpose. He further said that State Government has launched various schemes for the un-employed youth for setting up of their units and asked them to take advantage of these self-employment schemes. Earlier, Soz visited Dardsun to pay condolence to local congress leader, Ch. Salam Din on the death of his wife and offered the fateha there Senior Congress Leader Gh. Rasool kar and other state and district functionaries were present.
