SRINAGAR, Sept 25: Election Authority Panchayati Raj Act (Chief Electoral Officer J&K), has notified the list of reserved symbols to be used by recognized National and State Parties during conduct of Election of Chairperson of Block Development Councils. In a notification issued here, Election Authority has reserved symbols for seven National parties and three State parties. The symbols notified for All India Trinamool Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, Bhartiya Janta Party, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Indian National Congress and Nationalistic Congress party are Flowers & Grass, Elephant, Lotus, Ears of Corn & Sickle, Hammer, Sickle & Star, Hand and Clock respectively. Similarly, the symbols notified for Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party are Plough, Bicycle, and Ink & Pot respectively. |
