| Citizen's Forum appeals Governor to decongest Jammu city | | |

Jammu, Sept 25: Citizen's Forum has appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to decongest Jammu city instead of congesting it further with wrong planning by the urban planners.
Forum President R K Chadha said while preparing project components for Jammu Smart city the requirement of sufficient Parking should be the main criteria. Our forum members R K Handa former V C JDA and former Chief Engineer Arun Sharma had prepared a complete plan for decongesting the Jammu city thus creating enormous parking space and the same was sent to the Governor for consideration. Chadha further said common man fails to understand the upper two stories of the meg project of parking at Bus Stand Jammu being converted into commercial shopping center instead of a Large Emergency Unit for GMC and other Hospitals of Jammu with full medical facilities. The present Emergency unit at GMC is so congested even patients does not get proper space to be treated. GMC does not have proper space for parking and upon that planners are constructing 100 bedded Cancer Hospital in the same premises. Don't we have a separate sufficient space for this very important project. Citizen's Forum request Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Smart City Madam Sushma Chauhan to first decongest Jammu city to create enormous parking space. |
