Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 7 The central executive of Backward classes federation of India (BCFI) had resolved “No vote mission for NC, PDP, Congress, BJP, JKNPP, BSP, JSM and other like minded parties in coming assembly elections and appealed the OBCs of J&K which constitute more than 65% population of J&K state to abstain from casting votes to these parties. As per a press release, central executive of BCFI under the presidentship of Harbans Lal Verma hold a convention to discuss the burning issues relating to Backward classes in the state of J&K. In the convention almost all the parties including NC, Congress, PDP, BJP, JKNPP, BSP and others were targeted for crushing the voice of OBC’s in the state and in particular the congress which has not provided 27% reservation to OBC’s. The BCFI further resolved that all the people of Backward classes would ultimately vote for only those candidates who belong to their own category and demanded 27% reservation for OBC as per the constitution of India. Others who were present in the meeting include Madan, Bansi Lal Chargotra, Sharam Singh, Bua Ditta, K.C. Raina and others, the release added. |
