| ADGP Armed conducts joint darbar of IRP, JKAP Battalions | | |

Srinagar, Sept 28: S.J.M Gillani-IPS ADGP Armed J&K accompanied by Vijay Kumar-IPS IGP AP/IR Kashmir visited Armed Police Complex Manasbal today to take the stock of functioning of IRP-VIII and JKAP-XIV Bns. besides ascertaining the welfare of Jawans including their living conditions and to hear their individual as well as collective grievances. During the visit, the ADGP conducted a joint darbar of officers and officials of IRP-VIII and JKAP-XIV Bns. While addressing the darbar, the ADGP advised the unit personnel to perform their duties with devotion and dedication by following SOPs. He advised them to wear proper riot control gear while performing Law & Order duties. The ADGP stresses upon the officials that they should not do any such activity which damages the image of Police force and therefore they should always focus on the public friendly activities by remaining within the limits of their legitimate duties. He also advised the unit personnel to keep themselves physically fit by attending the games, and doing exercises besides taking care of the quality of the food they take. The ADGP advised the concerned Commandants to provide quality food to the Jawans commensurate to the allowances given to them by the government for the purpose. |
