Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 8 10 day tour programme of Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) 3rd batch sponsored by JICE (Japan International Cooperation Centre) concluded. The programme was organized by Japan and Indian governments under MHRD, New Delhi. The main objectives were to lay the foundation for a common future vision and solidarity in East Asia in the 21st centaury and to promote mutual understanding among the younger generation in the region through youth exchange. The batch included 54 participants out of which four students were from Jammu division under the guidance and supervision of S. Gurcharan Singh working in the directorate of school education Jammu and they visited the cities like Tokyo, JICA Osaka, Wakayama, Hyogo, Miyazaki, Koya Town, Asakusa prefecture. Different schools of area visited by the branch in order to interact with the students and exchange their views. They experienced Japanese Calligraphy for the first time and Japanese paper hand making. The students appreciated and learnt from the hardworking, honest, dedicated, friendly, peace loving people of Japan. They thanked the Japanese and Indian government, MHRD, New Delhi, secretary school education, J&K Govt. and director, school education, Jammu for the opportunity provided to them to visit such an advanced country.
