| Rs. 10 lakh to be spent on Tibba Phyian link road : Gharu Ram | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 8 Rupees 10 lakh would be expended on up gradation of link road and other developmental works at Tibba Phyian. This was announced by the Minister of State for R&B, Ch Gharu Ram at a public meeting held at village Tibba Phyian near R.S Pura today. He issued on the spot instructions to the concerned engineers to complete matalling work within a week’s time so that black-topping work can be completed before the onset of monsoon. The Minister said that an unprecedented progress has been registered in the field of education, health, roads, power and rural development sectors during the last five and a half years of coalition government He stated that this had dawned a new era of peace and progress in the state wherein equitable sharing of resources has been made possible. He said that due to the earnest efforts of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad Jammu and Kashmir is getting sufficient liberal funding from the centre. Gharu Ram said that R&B Department has executed road projects worth Rs. 10 crore in Suchetgarh constituency while some other projects worth Rs 5 crore are in the process of implementation. He said that emphasis is being laid on improving rural connectivity with nearest cities and towns, electrification of un-electrified hamlets, opening of at least one PHE in all the villages and potable drinking water to all. He said that efforts are underway to improve the socio-economic condition of border belts. Earlier, the Minister announced construction of bathrooms at village Tibba Phyian thereby fulfilling the long pending demand of local people. Later, the Minister visited various areas of Suchetgarh constituency and took stock of development works. Minister also called upon the officers and engineers in particular to work with dedication in getting the projects completed in time without compromising the quality of work. Among others, Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, Irrigation and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion. |
