Bishnah town to be developed on modern lines: Charak

Minister for Higher Education Gulchain Singh Charak has said that Azad-led government is taking keen interest to develop remote and far-off areas across the state on modern lines at par with towns and cities by providing road connectivity, healthcare, educational infrastructure, drinking water and electricity.
The Minister stated this after inaugurating the 5-kilometer long Bishnah-Chimnay Chak link road, completed at a cost of Rs. 24 lakh.
He said that with the opening of this link road, a long pending demand of the Bishnah people have been fulfilled. He said that the present government has not only the aspirations of the people made in Common Minimum Programme but has gone beyond it. He said that government was committed to provide equal opportunities of development to all the areas of the state. He said that it is the endeavor of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad to reach out to the people especially of far-off areas and ensure their all round development He appealed the people to give support to present government.
Charak stressed upon the officers and engineers in particular to work with zeal and dedication in getting the projects completed in time without compromising on the quality of works.
Highlighting the achievements of coalition government, he said that during the tenure of five and half years of coalition government, unprecedented development has been made in every sector. He said that scores of schools have been opened and upgraded, 40 new Degree Colleges established across the state, thousands of neglected areas connected with nearest headquarters by providing road connectivity, adequate drinking water and power supply to thousands of far-off and hilly areas of the state, scores of grid stations and pump stations commissioned besides transformers upgraded.
Earlier, the Minister also visited the Datta Ranpat Dev temple at Datta Talab in Birpur and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state.
He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for the facility of devotees in the temple.
