| SP holds its first convocation at Samba | | | Early Times Reporter Samba | June 8 The Samajwadi Party held its convocation for the first time in Samba. As per a press release, in his address, the president of the Samajwadi Party, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, while assailing congress, NC, BJP, and Panther, said that after coming to power at centre/ State, have not fulfilled their commitments and as such got exposed. As regards the alleged charges of corruption, favoritism and nepotism, Sheikh said that have suppressed each other. Similarly these parties have failed to do away the religional imbalances, constitution of de-limitation commission for assembly segments and ever increasing unemployment problem, Sheikh added. While warning them to desist from such like unfair means and mal-practices especially at this time, when the elections are round the corner, Sheikh said that the people of India, in general and those of Jammu and Kashmir state, in particular, are paying heavily today for such like mal-practices in the earlier elections. Besides this also indicates likelihood of large scale bungling in the coming days, Sheikh observed. The state SP leader also expressed his concern over the price rise in the country and termed the policies and programmes of both UPA and NDA, responsible for the same. Criticizing the recent hike in the petroleum products, Sheikh said this would result in further rise in the prices of essential commodities, to the woes and miseries of the common masses and demanded putting an end to sale tax and VAT to give relief to common masses, the release added. |
