| SDP flays Mehbooba, Omar for 'antinational campaigns' in J&K | | 'Says will approach Supreme Court' | | Early Times Reporter

Socialist Democratic Party (SDP) president, Darakshan Andrabi today blamed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti for launching 'anti National campaign' and propounding 'Dual currency' formula by her party in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here today, SDP president Dr Darakshan said that if government will not entertain her complaint against Peoples Democratic, she will approach Supreme of India.
Terming PDP as opportunist party, Dr Darakshan said that those speaking anti-India language are given the preference by the government of India, rule the state while those fighting for safeguards of the country are deprived of their rights.
"The statement of PDP Patron for introducing 'dual currency' seems to be an election stunt", she said adding as the elections are nearer the political parties have started showing the green pastures to the people of the state.
Quoting an instance where Mehbooba Mufti was welcomed with garlanded of Pakistani currency at a public rally organized at Beerwah in Kashmir, Andrabi said that no cognisance was taken by the government.
"People like PDP and NC are openly leading the people of Kashmir to hate India, to hate everything that is Indian, and are propagating the agenda of Pakistan in the state" she alleged.
"These political parties are pulling down the Election Commission and mobilizing public sentiment against the Indian Constitution", she said alleging they have openly launched anti-national campaigns in different parts of the state," Daraksha Andrabi alleged
The leaders are propagating the agenda of Pakistan government even while seeking a clean chit from the Election Commission to contest polls; Andrabi said and urged people not to vote for the parties like PDP who are befooling people on the name of peace with dignity.
Expressing her full faith on the election commission of India, she said that the leaders who are demanding free and fair elections have basically been using unfair means in past.
She said that it is shame to the biggest democracy of the world that those who are propagating the ideology of Pakistan are being allowed to work for the people of the state. |
