| Hooliganism grips fear among valley based medical students at GMC Jammu | | | Srinagar, August 31: Following beating of a Kashmiri medical student at Government medical college, fear has gripped doctors enrolled in the college. The quiescent approach of doctors has multiplied the woes of Kashmiri doctors study at the Government Medical College in state's winter capital.
A legion of valleyites enrolled at Government Medical College Jammu told KNS that one Dr Arun Manhas barge accompanied by as many as 16 doctors -turned-hooligans into the mess and attacked a medical student Dr Waseem Ahmed R/O Gantmulla Baramulla . Though a case was registered against Dr Arun Manhas and his other accomplices at Police Station Bakshinagar Jammu, but the said doctors had got an anticipatory bail already and thereafter police is hesitant in initiating any action against the doctors, lamented valleyites enrolled at Government Medical College Jammu.
It has been learnt that two similar cases are already registered against the Dr. Arun Manhas already. The valley based doctors enrolled at Government Medical College Jammu also alleged that harassment continues to haunt them and they even receive threatenings from different quarters following which fear has gripped them.
