| N.S.S Unit of MIER College participates in Blood Donation Camp | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 9 In order to celebrate World Red Cross Day, Regional Red Cross Society organised blood donation camp w.e.f. 8th May to 9th June. N.S.S unit of MIER College of Education participated in this blood donation camp. Sixteen N.S.S. volunteer along with N.S.S. Programme officer Poonam Soni participated in the camp. Two lecturers of B.Ed College Arti Kiran and Deepti Gupta also donated blood. Dr.T.R.Raina Associate Professor, Incharge Blood Donation Camp of SMGS Hospital welcomed the donors and interacted with them. Anil.K.Padha Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region also interacted and motivated the volunteers. After identifying the blood group of each participant and checking up their level of H.B the participants including teachers, were provided refreshment and certificates for donating blood along with the assurance that at any given time if some relative of the donor requires blood, will be given preference and priority. Memento was also presented to the institution for participating in the camp. MIER College actively participates in various blood donation camps on regular basis as it is well defined in the quality processes of the college. Principal of the College, Dr. Renu Gupta appreciated the efforts of the volunteers for active services in these types of events and congratulate the staff of the SMGS hospital for making aware the importance of blood donation among the volunteers and the faculty members of the college. |
