| Kashmir festival at London, New York | | Jora reviews arrangements at high level meet | | Early Times Reporter
Srinagar | June 9
Minister for Industries and Commerce Nawang Rigzin Jora today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss the arrangements for Kashmir festival to be held in Trafalgar London and New York during the month of August.
Addressing the meeting, Jora stressed for showcasing of Kashmir brand shawls and carpets. He also desired for popularizing Kashmir willow and apprising people about its genuineness for cricket bats etc.
During the festival, rich Kashmiri culture, handicrafts and tourism would be on focus. As many as 30 participants from the state will participate in the festival. The audio-visual presentation will also be screened depicting cultural activities, handicrafts and tourist spots of the state.
Among others, Secretary Industries and Commerce Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Director Handicrafts R.A. Qadri, Additional Secretary Tourism, President Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries and other senior officers of line departments attended the meeting. |
